About
I am currently an undergraduate member of both the philosophy and anthropology departments at CUNY Queens College. I am the President of The Anthropology Society, and will be graduating in the fall of '10 with B.A.'s in both philosophy and anthropology.
My present research is focused on epistemological issues, and the role of evolutionary theory in archaeology. These topics are the foundation of the thesis which I am currently in the process of completing. My primary interests are in the history and philosophy of science, particularly as it relates to evolutionary biology and archaeological theory.
I spent the summer of '09 with The Sinop Region Archaeological Project (SRAP) surveying current archaeological field projects underway in central and eastern Anatolia from Catalhoyuk to Miletus. It was an incredible opportunity to see how varying perspectives on method and theory affect how archaeological fieldwork is conducted and materials interpreted.
